At Mid Beds Fitness our aim is to provide the opportunity and support for mums to focus on their health and fitness during and after pregnancy.

Buggyfit is the best way to get back to shape after your new arrival, whether it's first, second or third time around. Whatever your postnatal stage we have a programme that will suit your needs, from initial recuperation in your first six weeks, through those tough times of getting back into your jeans and onto those new levels of fitness – and most of this from behind your buggy or pram (or on your own if you want to!).
Feeling overwhelmed and exhausted is a common feeling that can start and continue for several months after giving birth. Studies have shown that group exercise improves mood and well being. Simply getting out in the fresh air really does blow the cobwebs away leaving you with more energy and a more positive mood!!
To join a class you must have had the all clear from your GP to commence suitable postnatal exercise. Typically this is 6 weeks for a natural delivery and 10-12 weeks for c-section. Classes are run at Marston Forest Centre, Ampthill Park and Wrest Park historic gardens. Classes are purchased as a Passport of 6 or 10 sessions, costing £3.20 - £5 a class - first class free!
Buggyfit classes are an hour long, outdoor group class. All classes are developed using specialist postnatal expertise to suit the various stages we go through after having a baby. As BuggyFit trainers we are experts in assessing how hard to work each Mum, and will always ensure safe technique is used to gain maximum results.
Classes start with a moderate warm up walk, moving into a power walk, skip or jog (only if you want to!!) to raise our heart rates. This is when we start to burn fat! We often then have short circuits of strength and toning exercises focussed on muscle groups affected most by pregnancy and used most in everyday activities. The intensity and number of repitions can be adapted for each mum so that everyone from a beginner to a previously well-trained athlete can benefit from the class. We finish off with a cool down and stretch.
As we are outdoors we use trees and benches together with balls, hula-hoops, resistance bands and lots of other things to keep each class varied and fun!
BuggyFit TrainTone – BuggyFit TrainTone is a hugely exciting collaboration between BuggyFit, the UK's leading mother and baby fitness class and TrainTone - the latest innovation from Reebok. The classes give strong mums the chance to power up their workout. BuggyFit TrainTone pushes mums that little bit further to get a supercharged version of the hugely popular and effective BuggyFit classes;
BuggyFit Blitz – A boot-camp style intensive two-week course for those wanting short-term, quick results. Classes are short and sharp focussing on different aspects of fitness at each session. Attendance will be for two sessions a week with homework for days in between;
Personal Training – One-to-one training or training with a friend will really focus you on achieving results. With a wide range of locations and session styles there will be something to suit your needs.
